MY STYLE: THE DEER HAS ARRIVED TOWN

Hace tiempo que no os mostraba looks míos. No es que no quiera, pero es que hay tantos temas interesantes de los que hablar, que éste a veces se me antoja menos apetecible... Ya os conté que estoy en modo ahorrativo. Mi reciente mudanza me ha hecho ver que tengo mucho más de lo que necesito, más de lo que soy capaz de albergar y más de lo que los días me dan para vestir. Una pasión que me ha salido relativamente cara y que tengo que rentabilizar. No, no me he vuelto loca ni me he salido del sistema de la moda. Simplemente sigo en él pero con cabeza: escuchando a mi armario y bolsillo antes que a mi estómago "fashionista", seleccionando la ropa y las marcas con el corazón y no con los pies, dando nuevas vidas a las prendas y accesorios que no creían merecerlas. 

It´s been time since I last posted a look of mine. I wanted to, but there are also so many interesting topics to chat about, that I sometimes think my looks don´t matter enough... Nevertheless, I don´t know whether you´d remember, but several weeks ago I told you my mood was a bit thrifty. Since I´ve just moved home from Madrid to San Sebastian, I´ve just noticed I own too many clothes. Quite more than the space I have for them, more than what I need and more than the days I have to wear all my stuff. I can say I´ve spent too much money in this passion of mine and that it´s time to make it profitable. You may think now that I´m getting mad but nothing far from the truth. I´m just thinking more with my head rather than with my stomach. Passion is still there but focused on a different way. Rationality is now equal to heart. 

LYFESTYLE: BEGINING WITH HAPPINESS

Es triste cuando tienes un proyecto precioso y lo dejas escapar. Es triste cuando tienes una gran vida y la ves pasar. Y sobre todo es triste cuando te das cuenta de ello y, tarde o no, decides cambiar tu realidad. Supongo que todos en algún momento de nuestras vidas nos hemos sentido perdidos y nos hemos adentrado en un túnel del que nos es difícil salir. Un túnel con diferentes direcciones en cada caso, pero igual de oscuro en todos. No me quiero poner melancólica o más de lo que estoy, pero ha llegado el momento de salir de ahí para mi. Y el primer paso es recuperar poco a poco todo aquello que me hacía feliz, por grande o pequeño que fuese. Empezando por mi pequeño cuaderno de bitácora. Tantas veces empezado y otras tantas abandonado. Solo espero y deseo que esta sea verdaderamente la última para mi. Vengo dispuesta a hacer pequeños cambios en su formato pero manteniendo su gran esencia y compromiso con vosotros, que es lo que al fin y al cabo me trajo desde un principio hasta aquí. Deseadme suerte.

It´s quite sad when you have a marvelous project and you leave it behind. It´s quite sad too when you have a great life and you just watch it slip away. But above all, the saddest thing is when you take notice of everything and decide to change your reality. I suppose that some of you may have found yourselves in one of these situations at some point of your lives. But the most important thing is wanting to get away from them and that is where I am now. The first step is to recover everything that made me happy, such as my blog. So many times begun and others abandoned, I just wish this to be the last one for me. I may carry out several changes in its format but that won´t affect its essence and commitment with all of you. Wish me luck!!.  

STREETSTYLE SPRING/SUMMER 2013: HOW TO WEAR PRINTS

Comenzamos un nuevo día de una nueva semana con un post de streetstyle y una buena noticia: HOY ES MI CUMPLEAÑOS!!!!. 31 primaveras ni más ni menos!!. Ya nos vamos haciendo mayores aunque siempre intentando mantener el espíritu joven!. Además, dicen que los 30 de hoy son los 20 de ayer! jeje!. A ver si es verdad... Por el momento, yo sigo intentando exprimir cada minuto de mi vida, aunque ésta a veces te ponga dificultades por el camino... Hoy, con vuestro permiso, no me voy a explayar mucho, que tengo celebraciones varias por delante y aunque os quiero dedicar un cachito de ellas, también quiero hacerlo con el resto fuera del mundo blogger! ;).

Ya sabéis que yo soy fan total de los estampados: solos, mezclados, en vivos colores o sobrias tonalidades. Importa tanto el QUE como el COMO.Y aquí os muestro unos cuantos ejemplos. No son todos los que hay, pero sí una buena muestra de ellos. Espero que os guste, cojáis unas cuantas ideas y os atreváis a lucirlos!!.

MY STYLE: REUSE, SELL AND MORE

Por fin es viernes y estoy consiguiendo cumplir mi promesa de postear día sí y día no!! :) #felicidadabsoluta#. Como estoy en modo "mi armario va a estallar - no me puedo comprar muchos caprichos más", he decidido (por el momento) a) reutilizar las miles de prendas y accesorios que ya tengo y b) montar una tienda on-line con el resto de maravillas que aunque me encanten, seguro que cualquiera de vosotras les dará la vida y uso que realmente se merecen!!. Así que en cuanto esté lista, seréis l@s primer@s en enteraos!!. Lo mejor de tener un trabajo creativo es que puedes ponerte exactamente lo que quieras (siempre dentro de unos límites, claro) y el "Casual Friday" se convierte en el "Casual Everyday".  Así que para ir a la oficina este fue el modelito que elegí: un vestidito lencero blanco, una chaqueta de "ganchillo" azul marino, sandalias étnicas, mi pañuelo-mantel de picnic-, un bolso saco donde meter todas las pertenencias de Mary Poppins y poco más... 

It´s finally Friday and I´m gonna be able of keeping my promise of posting three / four times a week!!. I´m so happy for that!!. But I must say also, from one moment to the next one "mi closet is going to explode" so that means a) I have too many stuff and not so many time to wear it and b) I can´t buy so many caprices any more. So that´s why I´ve taken the decision of d) reuse the thousands of clothes and accessories I already own and e) set up an on-line shop with all the amazing clothes that, even though I still love them so much, I´m pretty sure any of you will give them the life and use they really deserve!!. So, as soon as it´s ready and working, you´ll be the first ones to find out!!. On the other hand, the best thing of working as a creative is that you can dress whatever you feel like (always having some boundaries) and that the term of "Casual Friday" becomes "Casual Everyday". So, in order to go to the office this is the look I chose: A little white dress, a knitted cardigan, ethnic flat sandals, my picnic blanket-scarf, a huge bag where to keep Mary Poppins´s belongings and few little things more...

PINTEREST INSPIRATION: FLORA LOVING

Si hay algo por lo que tengo especial obsesión últimamente es por Pinterest, esa maravillosa red social en la que compartir fotos es el pasatiempo preferido de internautas de todo el mundo cuya más preciada pasión es la de recolectar inspiración!. Se podría decir que es mi particular droga sana y única, y más desde que alguien inteligente creó la aplicación móvil y consiguió que prácticamente todos mis minutos libres se destinasen a "pinear" y repinear"... Os dejo con algunas de las imágenes de unas de mis carpetas favoritas: FLORA pero habrá más, muchas más!!.

If there´s anything I´m lately quite obsessed with is Pinterest, that marvelous social network where sharing pictures is the favorite hobby of worldwide net users whose most precious passion is collecting inspiration!. One could say this is my particular, healthy and only drug; and even more since someone intelligent created the mobile app so that my whole free time was being spent in "pining" and "repining"... So it´s time now to show you some of the images that belong to one of my favorite files: FLORA, but I´ll show you more, much more another day!!. 

MY STYLE: CORAL IN THE CITY

Hoy os dejo con un look veraniego de los que apenas se dejan ver por las calles de San Sebastián. Tristemente la lluvia es nuestro pan de cada día y, salvo dos días en los que el sol hizo amago de aparición, el invierno vuelve para quedarse, y con él, una bronquiolitis para mí de regalo... Simpático, ¿verdad?. Así que creo que ha llegado el momento de dejar de una vez por todas el tabaco de lado!!. Mi salud (de abuela) me lo agradecerá y mi economía también!!. El look de hoy esta compuesto básicamente por prendas a las que por unos u otros motivos he cogido bastante cariño. Recuerdos de viajes en familia, veranos en las calas mallorquinas, vivencias con mi hermano pequeño que ya no está aquí... Recuerdos que nunca se olvidan sino que permanecen en algún recóndito lugar de nuestra memoria y que de vez en cuando afloran con energía en nuestro interior. 

Today I´m gonna show you one of those summer looks which I´d love to wear everyday but San Sebastian´s rain and winter temperatures don´t allow me yet. Both of them are sooo comfortable in this city that, not only they are getting all the citizens depressed (including me) but they have brought me as a "present": a bronchiolitis. I´m so "happy" about that, I could throw a party tonight if my (granny´s) health allowed me... hehe. The good thing about this is that I feel it´s time to quit smoking once and for all!! My economy will be happy too about this decision I´m about to make, don´t you think so?. Today´s look is all about clothes i´m very fond of for one reason or another: Memories from family trips, summer holidays in Mallorca, experiences with my youngest brother who´s not here any more... Memories I will never forget but remain at some out-of-the-way place of my mind and from time to time appear with energy inside me. 

STREETSTYLE INSPIRATION: 50´S MIDI SKIRTS

Las faldas con vuelo o silueta de campana siempre han sido claro objeto de mi perdición. Ya sea por su estilo lady, el suave movimiento que crean al "contonearse" o por el rollo sexy o naïf que puedes darles en función de como las combines: Con cazadoras perfecto o sobrias americanas, con sandalias de taconazo o modositas bailarinas, con grandes bolsos o pequeñas carteritas, con bisutería punk o sofisticadas joyas...; y así podría seguir dando ejemplos y más ejemplos. Pero yo no os voy a decir como llevarlas, tan solo que os atreváis a hacerlo. 

Full or "A" line skirts (whatsoever you prefer to call them) have always supposed kind of unbridled love to me. It may be because of its lady style, or the soft movement they create when swinging girls´ hips, or just the sexy and naïf touch you can give them depending on how you combine them: You can choose between "Perfecto" jackets or simple blazers, high-heeled sandals or demured flats, big shopping bags or small clutches, punk bijou or sophisticated jewelry... and so on could I keep on. But I´m not gonna tell you how to dress them, but dare you to dress them. 

MY STYLE: BOATS, ANCHORS AND MERMAIDS

Hace tiempo que no posteo ningún look en el blog y hasta que no recupere a mi fotógrafa particular (Cati vuelveee), tendré que tirar  un poco de archivo... Las fotos me las hizo un buen amigo bloggero: Roberto Sena de Life Behaviour con motivo de la inauguración de la tienda "Indi & Cold" en la calle Lagasca de Madrid. Os recomiendo encarecidamente a ambos dos. Él, todo un profesional de la moda y un encanto de persona; y ella, una marca española de moda para mujer que apuesta por la creatividad, la feminidad, el color y la pasión por los detalles. Una marca que he visto crecer y que espero que lo siga haciendo por mucho tiempo.

It´s been long time since I last posted one look of mine but until I get my sister-photographer back, I´ll have to look at past files and show them all... These pics were made by a great blogger friend: Roberto Sena from Life Behaviour due to the opening of "Indi & Cold"´s new shop in Lagasca´s street in Madrid. I really recommend you both of them. He is not only an amazing proffesional in the fashion industry but a lovely person too. And "she" is a beautiful Spanish brand which designs women clothes and goes for creativity, feminity, color and passion for the small details. A brand that I´m honoured to having been able to see it grow and that I hope it continues doing it so.

HOME DECO: BOHEMIAN STYLE LOFT IN MADRID

Hace unos días encontré las fotos de este precioso loft de estilo bohemio que me enamoró desde el instante número uno!!. El dueño del mismo es el fotógrafo madrileño Manolo Yllera quien ha conseguido aunar en un amplio espacio neutral, que hace las veces de su estudio, elementos industriales con otros de marcado carácter vintage. Yo me mudaría sin dudarlo aquí, ¿y vosotr@s?.

Several days ago I stummbled into this bohemian style loft whose owner, the Spanish photographer Manolo Yllera, has managed to create a very neutral space combining industrial elements with vintage ones. I really love it and would definitely relocate there if I could, and you?.  

MY STYLE: I´M NOT A BALLERINA

Buenos días!! Siento hacer últimamente mi aparición una vez al mes, pero el trabajo me tiene completamente absorbida y la organización no es mi punto fuerte... ;) Espero algún día (pronto) volver a la normalidad... y volver a dedicar el tiempo que merecen vuestros blogs!!! MY STYLE: HAPPY WEDNESDAY WITH FLOWERS & COLOR

Buenas noches!!. Las vacaciones llevan un mes instaladas en el blog de My Little Suede Shoes. Montaña, ciudad y playa han sido los tres escenarios elegidos para disfrutarlas. Os iré mostrando, antes de que la ropa invernal vuelva a llegar a nuestros armarios, los looks que he lucido y sigo luciendo en estos divertidos y calurosos días. Este en concreto corresponde a mi reciente cumpleaños... 30 velitas nada más y nada menos!!!. Fue un gran día que culminó en un bonito paseo por los Jardines del Palacio Real de Madrid o también llamados "Jardines de Sabatini", un lugar precioso en el que enmarcar este colorista y fresco outfit.

STREET STYLE INSPIRATION SS 2012: PRINT MIXING

¡¡Buenas tardes!!. ¿Cómo va la semana?. Yo muy atareada pero igualmente encantada. Poquito a poco acabaré llegando a todo. Hace tiempo que no os muestro looks de street style con diferentes inspiraciones en mente. Desde conjuntos monocromáticos hasta los de estilo masculino o lady.  En esta ocasión apostamos por la mezcla de estampados: rayas, lunares, flores, navajo, animal... (no apto para tímidas). Sólo hay una regla: No tener miedo. ¿Os atrevéis?.

MY STYLE: COZY KNITWEAR + BUCOLIC FLOWERS

¡¡Buenas nooches, mis queridos amigos al otro lado de la pantalla!!.  ¿Como estáis pasando la semana?. No sabéis cuanto me alegra saber que os gustó mi nueva sección de música que comencé el viernes pasado y que se prolongará por (espero...) mucho tiempo. Vuelvo otro día más con un nuevo look, que ya tenía un tanto abandonados este tipo de posts... El verde es uno de mis colores favoritos, lo mismo que las flores en cuanto a prints, el punto en cuanto a tejidos y el cuero tostado en cuando a complementos. Tengo pendiente de contestar muchos comentarios, pero mi mala organización hace que me retrase con todo... lo siento!!. Pero aunque mis respuestas os lleguen con días o semanas de retraso, os prometo que os llegarán!!.

Good evening my dear friends!!. Are you having a good week?. You can´t imagine how happy you made me when you told me that you loved the new music section I began last Friday. I just hope it´ll last looooong time!!. So today I´m back with a whole new look. Green is one of my fav colors, same occurs with flowers as regard to prints, knitwear to fabrics and tan leather material to accessories. BTW, I still have to answer loads of comments, but sadly I´m quite/so disorganized that I ´m always late... But although my answers may arrive within days or weeks, I assure you that sooner than later, they will arrive!!.
