¡¡¡ Como me gusta el verano de San Martin !!!

Could it be possible to love more a summer that doesn´t want to leave?

¿Será este mi último look posteado con prendas veraniegas?. ¡¡Esto del cambio climático nos está volviendo locos a todos, incluso a mi armario!!. ¡¡jeje!!. Ya sé que estaréis deseando ver mis últimas adquisiciones de temporada, pero tengo varias sesiones preparadas en las que me propuse tirar de fondo de armario. Así que hasta nuevo aviso, old it is!:)

Will this be my last look with summery garments!. Climate change is driving us crazy!!. I know you may be willing to see my last purchases for this autumn/winter season, but sadly or happily for you and me, I´ve decided to make the most of my wardrobe. So, until further notice, old is my new adjective! :)

Para un paseo por el Soho Londinense decidí sacar las flores y las rayas a pasear. Otra vez vuelvo a la tendencia COLOR BLOCK (como ya hice aquí), pero llevada otra vez a mi terreno. A estas alturas de la "canción" ya sabéis que los estampados y la temática floral son lo mío. Así que para no traicionar a mi fidelidad hacia estos dos clásicos ya en mi armario, decidí combinar esta falda de inspiración campesina (una de mis mejores compras rebajiles) con este sencillo top de estilo vintage, y lo que en un principio era un collar de rosas, pero que yo opté por cambiar su uso y convertirlo en una diadema con delicados toques románticos. El bolso ya me lo habéis visto por aquí y las sandalias se conviertieron en el complemento perfecto para poner el broche final a mi look lady. 

For a short walk along Soho, I decided to wear the combo flowers + stripes. It´s not the first time I resort to the COLOR BLOCK trend (as I already did here), but always bringing it to my side. By this stage, you must have realized that prints in general and the flower theme are my thing. So, in order no to betray my fidelity to these two classics in my closet, I chose to combine the peasant-like skirt with this simple vintage style top; and what at first was a lovely rose necklace, but I opted for a change in its use and turned it into a romantic headband. The bag isn´t new for you and the denim sandals added the perfect final touch to my ladylike look.

MUSIC: LITTLE MAJORETTE

Buenos días, chic@s!! Hace tiempo que no hago un post musical y realmente es lo que me anima y pone las pilas cada mañana para empezar con alegría y optimismo el día. Así que hoy os quiero presentar e invitar a que disfrutéis conmigo lo último que suena en mi ipod. Que mejor manera de empezar un lunes que con la música del joven grupo LITTLE MAJORETTE. Originarios de Suecia, este trío de músicos formado por Zoe Durran, Petter Winnberg y Nills Tomqvist; crean atractivas y originales melodías caracterizadas por la fusión de géneros y estilos, como el indie, el pop y la electrónica. El resultado son dulces sonidos y originales vídeos que consiguen atraparte desde el minuto cero. Suaves y dulces notas de color que enmarcarán el paso de las horas. Os dejo con dos de sus grandes y recientes éxitos: "Never Be The Same" y Overflow".

Good morning, guys!!. It´s been a while since I wrote and shared with you a musical post. And this really is what makes me wake up every morning and begin it with happiness and optimism. So today I just want to show you the latest songs that keep playing in my ipod and hope you can enjoy yourselves as I do. There´s no better way of starting Monday than with this young band named LITTLE MAJORETTE. These native Sweeden trio of musicians and formed by Zoe Durran, Petter Winnberg y Nills Tomqvist; create attractive and original melodies characterized by the styles´ and types´ fusion, such as indie, pop and electronic. As the result we can find sweet sounds and original videos that manage themselves to catch you from the very starting point. Light color notes which will make our days better. So without further delay, I´ll leave you with their last best-sellers: "Never Be the Same" and "Overflow".

MY STYLE: FLOWERS & SPIKES FIELDS

¡¡Buenos días chicas!!. ¡Siento mi ausencia!. Me ha salido un pequeño trabajito que me está teniendo un tanto ocupada... ¡¡Pero ya estoy aquí!!. Esta última semana, el verano que nunca tuvimos en Londres cuando tocaba, ¡¡por fin apareció!!. ¡¡30 grados, nada más y nada menos, marcaban los termómetros!!. Increíble, pero cierto... Así que, para celebrarlo, decidí sacar mi blanco nuclear a pasear!!. Menos mal que aquí no desentono...  jeje!. En fin, aproveché para estrenar esas prendas que se me habían quedado olvidadas en el armario y que tan alegremente deseaban salir: estos shorts con estampado de flores y bajo ondulado tan de moda este verano y el top de ganchillo cuyo aspecto artesanal y la frescura que transmite tanto me gustan. Pero sin duda alguna, el protagonista de mi look es este espectacular collar babero cuyo aspecto me recuerda a los grandes campos repletos de espigas cuyas tonalidades amarillentas se van tornando doradas por la leve caricia del sol. 

Good morning, girls!!. I´m very sorry for my absence!. Last week summer arrived London!. Quite late, ´cause we were expecting it in July and August, but never mind!!. Better late than never, isn´t it?. 30 º C showed the thermometers!. So, to celebrate this amazing moment, I decided to wear for the first time  those garments I sadly left at the bottom of my closet: these cute scalloped flower printed shorts, so trendy this past season; and the crochet top with the handmade appearance and freshness that made me fall instantly in love with them. But undoubtedly, the main character of this look is this amazing bib necklace which reminds me to the great filelds full of yellowish spikes turning gold by the sun´s gentle caress.

FASHION EDITORIAL: ANGELS WE WERE

Llevo toda la tarde buscando y rebuscando editoriales de moda que me enamoren de esta temporada otoñal que recién acaba de empezar y tristemente no he tenido la suerte que esperaba... Pero no desisto!!.   A la segunda irá la vencida!! Por el momento tiro de archivo y os dejo con el precioso trabajo que ha realizado el fotógrafo Paul de Luna para la revista WestEast Magazine, donde el ángel caído Rasa Zukauskaite se viste bajo la dirección artística y estilística de Mindi Smith con una preciosa selección de prendas, entre las que podemos encontrar a Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Anna Sui, Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli, Alberta Ferretti y muchos más... Etéreos vestidos tejidos con delicadeza y mimo, y utlizando los más suaves pigmentos de color que la naturaleza nos puede proporcionar...

I´ve been all evening looking for any beloving to be fashion editorials but sadly I didn´t have any luck! . But don´t worry, I haven´t desisted yet! Second time lucky!!. For the time being, my files are my solution, leaving you with Paul de Luna´s work for WestEast Magazine, where the fallen angel Rasa Zukauskaite gets dressed under Mindi Smith´s artistic and stylistic direction; with a beautiful garment selection.  Christian Dior, Louis Vuitton, Anna Sui, Bottega Veneta, Roberto Cavalli, Alberta Ferretti... among others, are some of the names we can find there. Ethereal dresses woven with delicacy and care, and using the softest color pigments that nature can provide us...

RODARTE FOR OPENING CEREMONY FALL 2011

Seguramente muchos de vosotros ya habréis visto este lookbook rondando por diferentes blogs, revistas o similares. Pero aún así y aunque llegue tarde, no quería perder la oportunidad de mostrároslo y que quedase así reflejado en este pequeño diario que con tanto cariño escribo cada vez que puedo. 

Probably, most of you will have already seen this RODARTE´s lookbook aw 2011 for Opening Ceremony prowling around different blogs, magazines or similars. But even so and although I may be late, I didn´t want to loose the opportunity of sharing this with all of you. 

No es la primera colaboración que la firma de las hermanas Mulleavy lleva a cabo con Opening Ceremony, y espero que tampoco sea la última. Porque aunque mi presupuesto económico no me da para estos lujos, el visual sí. Así que soñemos todos con estos románticos trajes fotografiados por Autumn de Wilde y lucidos por las gemelas Gwen y Donna Loos. Pero atención chicos!!. Vosotros también tenéis vuestra parcelita en esta colección. Y que mejor que el guapo Stephan Haurholm para mostrárosla!!. La inspiración ha venido esta vez desde los países Escandinavos en forma de ondulantes vestidos de seda mezclados con toques de fruncidos, faldas de piel de cordero rayadas, camisas estampadas y tradicionales  jerseys de tricot tipo Fair Isle.  Neutras y suaves tonalidades como los pasteles rosa, verde menta y azul; pasando por otras más intensas como burdeos, ocres o turquesas; hasta llegar al color-no color, negro; envuelven primero y dominan después tanto los looks masculinos como los femeninos. Un maravilloso romance Nórdico!!. 

This is not the first collaboration seen between these two brands, and hope too this isn´t the last one. Because even though my economic budget does not allow me these luxuries, the visual one does it. So lets everyone dream about these romantic dresses photographed by Autumn de Wilde and worn by the twins Gwen & Donna Loos. But attention, guys, because you also have your small space in this collection. So what would be better than to let the handsome Stephan Haurholn show it to us!!. Inspiration comes this time from Scandinavian countries  in form of billowy silk dresses mixed with touches of ruffles, lambskin stripped leather skirts, printed shirting and Fair Isle-patterned knits.  A soft palette of tones like pink blush, green mint and blue; passing through others more intense like burgundy, ochre or turquoise, till arriving to the color non-color, black; envelop first and dominate after both the men´s and women´s looks. Just a marvellous Nordic romance!!.
