MY STYLE: LITTLE ROCKING HORSE

¡¡Hola a tod@s!!. ¡¡Vuelvo a la carga con nuevo post!!. ¿Dos en una semana?. No me lo creo ni yo... ¡jeje!. En fin, me alegro mucho que os gustase a casi todos el lookbook de la marca japonesa ANTIPAST que os mostré hace unos días. Y a los que no, espero acertar con vosotros la próxima vez... Como bien dice el dicho, nunca llueve a gusto de todos... ;). Y mejor...porque si a todos nos gustase y disgustase lo mismo, la vida sería demasiado aburrida, ¿no creéis?. 

Hi guys!!. How are you doing?. I´m back with a new post!!. Two in a week!! Unbelievable!!. hehe!. Nevertheless, I´m really pleased to hear that most of you fancied the ANTIPAST´s ss 2012 lookbook I showed you a few days ago. And for those who didn´t, I hope to hit on you next time... I know it´s impossible to please everyone, but I think is better that way... If we had all the same tastes, life would be too boring, don´t you think so?

Quiero dar la bienvenida al fin de semana con un look de entretiempo. O yo lo veo así... El pasado domingo volvieron las temperaturas invernales a Madrid, junto con unos cuantos litros de lluvia adicionales, que aunque necesarios, no me gustan nada... Los protagonistas absolutos del look son estos botines de flores que compré en Londres poco antes de mi vuelta a España. No exagero si digo que llevaba dos años o más buscando un modelo floral que me enamorase. Y por fin lo conseguí. Así que era de esperar que se viniesen conmigo a casa, junto con otras tantas adquisiciones que quisieron abandonar también el país; entre ellas, mucho material para la colección de collares, broches y tocados que estoy creando. En cuanto la tenga lista, os la mostraré. ¡¡Solo espero que os guste!!.

I´d like to welcome this weekend with a spring/autumn look. Or that´s the way I see it... Last Sunday cold and rainy weather in Madrid came back again... So I needed to mix & match different light and rough fabrics + garments. The main stars of today´s look are these floral ankle boots I bought in London before coming back to Spain. I don´t exaggerate if I say that I´ve been after a pair of flower printed Dr. Martens for two years or more. And I finally found them!!!!. I was thrilled!!!. So they were bound to come with me, as well as lots of stuff I bought for the collection of necklaces, brooches and headbands, among others, that i´m creating. As soon as I can, I´ll show it to you. Hope you like it!!.

MY STYLE: A CLASHING PRINT PARTY

¡¡Hola a todos!!. ¿Qué tal habéis pasado estas navidades?. ¿Habéis tenido muchos regalitos o se han perdido por el camino?. A mi algo me ha caído, pero los Reyes son los que tendrán la última y gran palabra... Hasta ahora nunca me han sorprendido con carbón, así que espero poder seguir manteniendo la tradición! jeje. Yo, como el turrón, he vuelto a casa por Navidad, así que, como veréis, mi querida San Sebastián será el telón de fondo de mis próximas sesiones fotográficas (aprovecho para agradecer y mandarle un besazo enorme a mi guapa sister que tiene un arrrrte tras la cámara (y una santa paciencia con la modelo... ;) ). 

Hi guys!!. Did you enjoy your Christmas holidays?. Did you get loads of presents?. I did get something, but I still have to wait till the Three Wise Men arrive the 5th-6th of January. I have always been a good girl and, therefore, they have never brought me sweet coal, so I really hope this tradition carries on! hehe! As the nougat candy, I´ve come back home for Christmas, so, as you´ll see from now on, my beloved San Sebastian will be the backdrop in my following shootings (I´d like to take this opportunity to thank my sister for her great pics and her amazing patiente with the model... hehe! Lots of kisses for her!!!). 

Este fue el look elegido para una tranquila mañana de paseo por la ciudad. Sencillez, comodidad y una loca mezcla de estampados fueron mis tres reglas de oro. Lunares, cuadros y estrellas se fundían en un solo motivo. Puede parecer demasiado, pero ese demasiado es lo que me hace a mí ser yo. 

This is the look I chose the other day for a relaxed walk along the city. Simplicity, comfort and a crazy mix of prints were my "Golden" rules. Polka-dots, Scottish tartan and stars merged into one single motif. It may seem too much, but that´s what makes me be me.

MY STYLE: RAINY NAVY DAY

Hola mis queridos amigos!. Como ya os comenté en el anterior post, mi periplo londinense ha llegado a su fin. Madrid es mi nueva ciudad y la búsqueda de hogar mi nueva pesadilla!! jaja!! Aunque no os lo creáis, llevo solo una semana aquí y ya me he visto 30 pisos!!! Resultado: Cero patatero. Y no creo que exija demasiado!!. La mayoría bajos y sótanos, interiores a micro patios horrorosos, con decoración salida de Cuéntame como pasó o cocinas de juguete... En fin, PACIENCIA!! jeje!! Os dejo con el perfecto look para la lluvia con el que saltar y brincar por cada charco de agua a nuestro paso (cosa que me encanta hacer siempre). Sencillo, marinero y colorista, como a mi me gusta!!. 

Good evening my dear friends!! As I told you before, my life in London has come to an end. Madrid is now my new city and house hunting has become my new nightmare!! hehe!!. Believe it or not, it´s only been a week since I arrived here and I´ve already seen 30 apartments!!!!. The result: NONE!!!. And I don´t think I demand too much!!. Honestly, most of them are ground floors or basements, interior to horrible and super small courtyards, with very old & ugly decoration or with toy sized kitchens... Anyway, I just need to be PATIENT!!. hehe!. So I´ll leave you with my outfit for a rainy day. Simple, comfy, navy style and colorful, just what I love the most!!.

MY STYLE: LONG BLUE SKIRT

La falda larga es una de las prendas "it" de esta temporada. Ya asomaron la cabecita en invierno en tejidos como el punto, el cuero, la lana... y ya no se han querido ir!. Hay tantos estilos a elegir como tipos de prendas podamos tener en nuestro armario: desde la versión sport, como la mía, en tejido de punto tableado; minimal en colores puros combinados con simples camisetas blancas, como pudimos ver en el desfile de Jil Sander, campestre, en tejido ligero con prints de flores liberty y con mucho vuelo a lo años 50; vintage, en gasa de tonos nude, tan de moda esta temporada, o pasteles cuales macarons parisinos; ó bohemia de inspiración 70´s con sombreros de paja, collares largos y bandoleras de cuero.... Vamos, que si quieres, puedes!! :))

The long skirt is one of the "it" garments this season. They already stucked their head out last winter in fabrics such as knit, leather, wool... and they haven´t wanted to go yet!! There are so many styles as kinds of garments you may find in your closets: from the sports version in pleated knitted skirts, as mine; minimal in pure colours mixed with simple white T-shirts, as we could see in Jil Sander´s catwalk; country-style, in soft fabrics with Liberty flower prints and a lot of flounce as in the 50´s; vintage, in nude chiffon, so trendy this summer, or pastel hues like the Parisian macarons; or 70´s inspiration´s bohemian look with straw hats, long necklaces and leather shoulder bags... So, say bye to miniskirts and welcome the new length!!.

MY STYLE: SWINGING 60´S

Poco a poco el frío invierno va desapareciendo, pero no así la ropa característica de esta época lo hace de las tiendas.  Lo cual he de decir que agradezco enormemente (aunque no tanto mi bolsillo... hehe), porque he podido hacerme con este precioso abrigo de corte retro realizado en tejido de espiga naranja y crudo, con detalles en terciopelo marrón y botones de flores. Sé que no voy a poderle dar demasiado uso dado el mes en el que estamos... pero no pierdo la esperanza de que quizá las frías noches de verano londinenses me permitan sacarlo a pasear... Por el momento, queda reservado un sitio especial para él en mi armario!. Los años 60 son una de mis décadas favoritas y todo un referente estético a seguir estos días! Aparece la minifalda, Mary Quant, el look mod, las bandas de rock psicodélico, The Beatles, Jackie O., los vestidos de linea A, los mil y un estampados de flores, rayas cuadros vichy, paisley o lunares, y un largo etcétera que dejo que lo recordéis vosotr@s.

Gradually the winter cold is disappearing, but not so this season´s characteristic clothes do the same from the shops. Which I´m enormously grateful for (although not so much my pocket... hehe), because I´ve been able to achieve this precious retro style orange and natural colour herringbone coat, with brown velvet details and flower printed buttons. I know I won´t be able to give it too much use due to the month in which we are... but I won´t loose hope of the London cold summer nights allowing me  take it ot for a walk. For the time being, I´ve reserved a special place for it in my wardrobe!. The 60´s is one of my favourite decades and quite an aesthetic reference to follow these days!. The miniskirt appeared, Mary Quant, the mod look, psychedelic rock bands, The Beatles, Jackie O., A-line dresses and coats, and a thousand and one patterns: flowers, stripes, vichy checked prints, paisley, polka dots, and a large etcetera, that I´ll leave you to remember yourselves.

MY STYLE: CANDEM GIRL

Sí!!! Soy yo!!! No me he perdido, ni caído al río Thamesis, ni nada!! jeje!! Así que tras mi ausencia (la cual siento mucho...), vuelvo con un nuevo look invernal. El perfecto mix & match!!. Muchas veces para construir el conjunto perfecto, y evitar la tan manida (aunque a veces socorrida...) frase de " no tengo nada que ponerme", lo mejor es, partiendo de una prenda base (en mi caso, el vestido), ir cogiendo el resto de acompañantes al azar: Mezclando prendas diferentes, colores y estilos contrapuestos, estampados plus bordados... Porque no siempre lo más pensado, analizado y preparado, resulta ser lo mejor.

Yes!! It´s me!!! I haven´t get lost, neither fallen to the Thamesis river... hehe!1 So after my absence (which I´m really for it...), I return with a new winter look. The perfect mix & match!!. Lots of times, in order to create the perfect outfit, and to avoid the familiar (though sometimes useful...) phrase "I have nothing in my closet", the best thing to do is, starting from one basic garment (in my case, I´ve chosen the dress), and just picking up the rest of clothes at random. Mixing different garments, opposite colours and styles, patterns plus embroideries... Because not always the most thought, analyzed and prepared,  works out for the best.
