MY STYLE: THE DEER HAS ARRIVED TOWN

Hace tiempo que no os mostraba looks míos. No es que no quiera, pero es que hay tantos temas interesantes de los que hablar, que éste a veces se me antoja menos apetecible... Ya os conté que estoy en modo ahorrativo. Mi reciente mudanza me ha hecho ver que tengo mucho más de lo que necesito, más de lo que soy capaz de albergar y más de lo que los días me dan para vestir. Una pasión que me ha salido relativamente cara y que tengo que rentabilizar. No, no me he vuelto loca ni me he salido del sistema de la moda. Simplemente sigo en él pero con cabeza: escuchando a mi armario y bolsillo antes que a mi estómago "fashionista", seleccionando la ropa y las marcas con el corazón y no con los pies, dando nuevas vidas a las prendas y accesorios que no creían merecerlas. 

It´s been time since I last posted a look of mine. I wanted to, but there are also so many interesting topics to chat about, that I sometimes think my looks don´t matter enough... Nevertheless, I don´t know whether you´d remember, but several weeks ago I told you my mood was a bit thrifty. Since I´ve just moved home from Madrid to San Sebastian, I´ve just noticed I own too many clothes. Quite more than the space I have for them, more than what I need and more than the days I have to wear all my stuff. I can say I´ve spent too much money in this passion of mine and that it´s time to make it profitable. You may think now that I´m getting mad but nothing far from the truth. I´m just thinking more with my head rather than with my stomach. Passion is still there but focused on a different way. Rationality is now equal to heart. 

MY STYLE: JAZZ LOOK

¡¡¡Hola!!!. Empiezo con buenas intenciones: Voy a intentar publicar un post cada dos días!!. A ver hasta cuando aguanto... jeje!. Me debo de organizar fatal, porque nunca lo consigo... :S. Pero seguiremos intentándolo!!. Este look lo tenía en la recámara y es una sesión de fotos que hice con la tienda y peluquería Rosarito Piropo de San Sebastián (recordáis que os hablé de ella en el post de Antipast?). Llevo casi diez años siendo clienta suya, así que os imaginaréis lo bien que me conocen ya y la ilusión que me hizo esto. Tanto el vestido como las medias y los accesorios son suyos. Estos casualmente son de la colección de invierno, pero tienen auténticas preciosidades para esta temporada. Espero que os guste y nos vemos pasado mañana!! ;)

Hi guys!!. I´m not in a very good mood lately, but I´m gonna try and publish posts twice a week. Do you think I will manage to do it?. I don´t know why but lately my organization is not very accurate... :S. But I´ll try my best!!. I had this look filed in my computer. It was a shooting I made for Rosarito Piropo shop and hairdressing salon in San Sebastian, Spain (do you remember  the Antipast post where I spoke you about them?). I´ve been going there for almost ten years, so it´s fair to say that they know me quite well and that I was thrilled with the idea of collaborating with them. Both the dress and the accessories are from this shop. They are from their winter´s collection, but you´ll find really precious items this season. Hope you like it and see you the day after tomorrow!!. ;)

MY STYLE: SPRINGTIME HAS ARRIVED...

¡Hola a todos!. ¿Me habéis echado un poquito de menos?. Vuelvo a la carga con un nuevo look. De vez en cuando la primavera asoma su cara y deja entrever colores brillantes y tonalidades pastel, menos capas de abrigo y tejidos más ligeros. Pero es una época de dudas. ¿Hace frío o calor?, ¿chaquetón grueso o gabardina ligera?, ¿americana de pana o de algodón?, ¿jersey de lana o de punto fino?, ¿bufanda de cachemir o foulard de seda?, ¿zapato cerrado o sandalias?, ... . Personalmente soy más de extremos. Prefiero el verano más caluroso o el invierno más frío. Y creo que mi armario también. Y mi salud. Porque es siempre en esta época cuando todos los resfriados vienen a mi... Pero aún así, me gusta este momento de transición, porque significa que ya queda menos para que lleguen mis estaciones favoritas. ¿Contradictorio?. Puede, pero es lo que hay...

Hi!!. Did you miss me a bit?. I´m back with a whole new look. From time to time, springtime shows its best days and gives a glimpse of bright colors and pastel hues, less coat layers and lighter fabrics. But this is a period of doubts. Is it cold or sunny?, should I wear a thick short coat or a thin trench coat?, a corduroy blazer or a cotton one?, a wool sweater or a light knitted one?, a cashmere scarf or a silken one?, lace-up shoes or sandals?, and so on... But, personally, I´m more into extremes. I prefer the hottest summer or the coldest winter. And I think my wardrobe feels the same way. And my health. Because it´s always in these seasons when I catch all the colds... But even so, I fancy this period of transition, because it means that it´s not long till my favorite seasons arrive. Is it contradictory?. Maybe, but that´s the way I am...

MY STYLE: SHERLOCK HOLMES´ CAPE

Hola a todos!!. Después de estas mini-vacaciones mallorquinas vuelvo a la carga con nuevo look!!. El frío ha vuelto a Madrid... grrr.... así que mis nuevas compritas veraniegas tendrán que esperar para salir a la luz... aunque alguna ya ha asomado la cabecita... jeje!. Ya os lo enseñaré. Esta capa fue amor a primera vista. La versión ultrafemenina del respetable y admirable Sherlock Holmes. (Por cierto, habéis visto la nueva serie?. Me enganché el año pasado en Londres, y la han sacado ahora en España!. Es 100% recomendable!!). Ésta es quizá una de las prendas más especiales de mi armario!!. Los delicados y coloristas bordados, el tejido típicamente inglés, la tela de estampado naïf del forro, su hechura... Paul & Joe fue de las primeras marcas de streetwear francesas que conocí hace ya unos cuantos largos años y a la que he sido fiel desde entonces, siempre que la economía me lo ha permitido o mi santa madre me lo ha regalado... jeje!. Y los zapatos de Etro podríamos decir que fueron los pioneros en inaugurar mi pequeña-gran colección de brogues masculinos. Si mi memoria no me falla, creo que deben de tener unos diez años, así que mejor no hacer cálculos del número total de zapatos que componen la colección porque podría asustarme... jaja!. 

¿Y vosotr@s, hay alguna prenda o accesorio que os guste tanto que ya tengáis una especie de colección en vuestro armario?.

Hi guys!!. After spending my holidays in Mallorca, Spain with hardly no internet, I´m glad to come back and begin my blogging routine again. Even though I was hoping to arrive at a sunny Madrid, weather is quite freezing, so my new spring purchases will have to wait a bit until better days appear. I bought this cape lots of years ago, it was sort of love at first sight. It´s like Sherlock Holmes´s feminine version. It´s very special for me. The delicate and colorful embroidery, the British fabric, the naïf print from the lining, the shape... everything. Paul & Joe was one of the first French streetwear fashion brands I got to know long time ago and I must say I´ve been since then devoted to it. Of course, whenever my economy has let me or the best mother worldwide has given me as a present! hehe!. And what coul I say about the Etro shoes?. I could say they´ve been the pioneers of my "small" masculine-style brogues collection. I think they might be 10 years old, so better not make too many estimations about the whole number of members of my collection... ´cause that could scare me... hehe!.

MY STYLE: LITTLE ROCKING HORSE

¡¡Hola a tod@s!!. ¡¡Vuelvo a la carga con nuevo post!!. ¿Dos en una semana?. No me lo creo ni yo... ¡jeje!. En fin, me alegro mucho que os gustase a casi todos el lookbook de la marca japonesa ANTIPAST que os mostré hace unos días. Y a los que no, espero acertar con vosotros la próxima vez... Como bien dice el dicho, nunca llueve a gusto de todos... ;). Y mejor...porque si a todos nos gustase y disgustase lo mismo, la vida sería demasiado aburrida, ¿no creéis?. 

Hi guys!!. How are you doing?. I´m back with a new post!!. Two in a week!! Unbelievable!!. hehe!. Nevertheless, I´m really pleased to hear that most of you fancied the ANTIPAST´s ss 2012 lookbook I showed you a few days ago. And for those who didn´t, I hope to hit on you next time... I know it´s impossible to please everyone, but I think is better that way... If we had all the same tastes, life would be too boring, don´t you think so?

Quiero dar la bienvenida al fin de semana con un look de entretiempo. O yo lo veo así... El pasado domingo volvieron las temperaturas invernales a Madrid, junto con unos cuantos litros de lluvia adicionales, que aunque necesarios, no me gustan nada... Los protagonistas absolutos del look son estos botines de flores que compré en Londres poco antes de mi vuelta a España. No exagero si digo que llevaba dos años o más buscando un modelo floral que me enamorase. Y por fin lo conseguí. Así que era de esperar que se viniesen conmigo a casa, junto con otras tantas adquisiciones que quisieron abandonar también el país; entre ellas, mucho material para la colección de collares, broches y tocados que estoy creando. En cuanto la tenga lista, os la mostraré. ¡¡Solo espero que os guste!!.

I´d like to welcome this weekend with a spring/autumn look. Or that´s the way I see it... Last Sunday cold and rainy weather in Madrid came back again... So I needed to mix & match different light and rough fabrics + garments. The main stars of today´s look are these floral ankle boots I bought in London before coming back to Spain. I don´t exaggerate if I say that I´ve been after a pair of flower printed Dr. Martens for two years or more. And I finally found them!!!!. I was thrilled!!!. So they were bound to come with me, as well as lots of stuff I bought for the collection of necklaces, brooches and headbands, among others, that i´m creating. As soon as I can, I´ll show it to you. ¡¡Hola a todos!!. Aunque en muchas ciudades españolas el calor está a la orden del día, en el Norte no ha querido asomar aún. Así que a la espera de poder estrenar mis nuevas compras primaverales, sigo aprovechando lo más invernal que hay en mi armario. No os voy a hablar de las nuevas tendencias porque yo sigo en el pasado, en el frío y feliz pasado. 

Hi guys!!. Although most Spanish cities are showing off the brightest sun, San Sebastian doesn´t want to let the freezing winter out. So while waiting to wear my new spring purchases, I still make the most of my winter clothes. I´m not going to tell you which are the newest fashion trends ´cause I´m still in the past, in the cold and happy past.

MY STYLE: A CREAM KNITTED BALLERINA

Hola a todos!!. Como va la semana?. Yo sin muchas novedades, así que os dejo simplemente con el look con el que me despedí de mi querida ciudad Norteña el fin de semana pasado. El vestido fue lo que algunos llaman "amor a primera vista". No me lo he puesto muchas veces, porque es un tanto "delicado" y se ensucia con la mirada, pero aún así, me encanta!. Tiene algo especial. El bolso, curiosidades de la vida, lo fiché en una revista pero el cuero era rojo en vez  de negro. Es de esas cosas que solo sacan en prensa o catálogo pero nunca llega a aterrizar en las tiendas. Me da mucha rabia y me ha pasado ya varias veces, así que debo tener un ojo clínico para eso... ;). 

Hi guys!! How are you doing this week?. I haven´t got any interesting news, so I´ll let my look speak for itself. This dress was what some may call "love at first sight". I haven´t worn it so many times, ´cause it´s quite "delicate" and gets dirty just with a glance, but even so, I love it!!. It has something special. Don´t you think so?. The bag was a Christmas´ present. I saw a red version at a Spanish fashion magazine, but when I ordered it at the shop, they told me it was just a version they made for the brand´s lookbook and the magazines shoottings. I have to say, I hate when that happens to me!. And they´ve been several times ´til now! I must have a a good eye for that... ;). Nevertheless, hope you like it!!.

MY STYLE: RETRO FUR & TEAL GREEN COLOR

Hola a todos!!. ¿Que tal ha ido la semanita?. ¿Os habéis puesto ya al día con todas las Fashion Weeks de las grandes capitales del mundo?. A mi todavía me queda bastante, pero tiempo al tiempo. Que las prisas nunca son buenas consejeras. Por el momento os dejo con un look que tenía guardado en la recámara y que mi guapa sister fotografió en la casa donde tantos buenos veranos hemos pasado. Hoy, como en anteriores ocasiones, tenemos un invitado especial en la sesión... ;). Esta tonalidad de verde, junto con el burdeos, se ha puesto muy de moda esta temporada. Ambos dan el perfecto toque de color a este invierno, en ocasiones, tan gris. Yo he optado por combinarlo con otras tonalidades de la misma gama, añadiendo los azules, el lila y los tostados al combinado cromático. Como sabéis me encanta hacer un patchwork de tejidos en un mismo look: algodón, lana, cuero, pelo, vaquero, punto... Cuántos más, mejor. La moda es alegría y mezcla: de colores, tejidos, estilos, décadas, prendas... Y cada mezcla es única y personal. Esta es la mía, ¿y la vuestra?.

Hi guys!!. How are you doing?. Have you managed to get up to date on all the Fashion Weeks from New York, London or Milan...?. I still have a lot of work to do, but no worries, there´s no need to hurry!!. For the time being, I´d like to show you one of the looks my lovely sister photographed at the house where we´ve spent most of our childhood summer holidays and that I still had filed away. This shade of green is, together with the burgundy color, one of the trendiest this season. Both of them give the perfect final color touch to this gray winter. I chose to pair it with other shades of the same chromatic range, as well as blue, lilac and brown. As you already know, I love the patchwork technique. This time, I combined different fabrics all in one: cotton, wool, leather, fur, denim, knit... The more, the better. Fashion is joy and mix: colors, fabrics, styles, decades, garments... And each mix is personal and unique. This one is mine, and yours?.
