MY STYLE: CORAL IN THE CITY

Today I´m gonna show you one of those summer looks which I´d love to wear everyday but San Sebastian´s rain and winter temperatures don´t allow me yet. Both of them are sooo comfortable in this city that, not only they are getting all the citizens depressed (including me) but they have brought me as a "present": a bronchiolitis. I´m so "happy" about that, I could throw a party tonight if my (granny´s) health allowed me... hehe. The good thing about this is that I feel it´s time to quit smoking once and for all!! My economy will be happy too about this decision I´m about to make, don´t you think so?. Today´s look is all about clothes i´m very fond of for one reason or another: Memories from family trips, summer holidays in Mallorca, experiences with my youngest brother who´s not here any more... Memories I will never forget but remain at some out-of-the-way place of my mind and from time to time appear with energy inside me.

STREETSTYLE INSPIRATION: 50´S MIDI SKIRTS

Full or "A" line skirts (whatsoever you prefer to call them) have always supposed kind of unbridled love to me. It may be because of its lady style, or the soft movement they create when swinging girls´ hips, or just the sexy and naïf touch you can give them depending on how you combine them: You can choose between "Perfecto" jackets or simple blazers, high-heeled sandals or demured flats, big shopping bags or small clutches, punk bijou or sophisticated jewelry... and so on could I keep on. But I´m not gonna tell you how to dress them, but dare you to dress them.

MY STYLE: BOATS, ANCHORS AND MERMAIDS

It´s been long time since I last posted one look of mine but until I get my sister-photographer back, I´ll have to look at past files and show them all... These pics were made by a great blogger friend: Roberto Sena from Life Behaviour due to the opening of "Indi & Cold"´s new shop in Lagasca´s street in Madrid. I really recommend you both of them. He is not only an amazing proffesional in the fashion industry but a lovely person too. And "she" is a beautiful Spanish brand which designs women clothes and goes for creativity, feminity, color and passion for the small details. A brand that I´m honoured to having been able to see it grow and that I hope it continues doing it so.

HOME DECO: BOHEMIAN STYLE LOFT IN MADRID

Several days ago I stummbled into this bohemian style loft whose owner, the Spanish photographer Manolo Yllera, has managed to create a very neutral space combining industrial elements with vintage ones. I really love it and would definitely relocate there if I could, and you?.

MY STYLE: TWO NAVY LOOKS IN THE MEDITERRANEAN SEA

Good morning, darlings!!. Did you enjoy these short holidays?. Hope the return to work and routine hasn´t been too tough. In order for you to loose touch with your daily tasks, I´ve prepared this post with some of the basic garments which can never be missing from our wardrobes:

NAVY LOOK 1:

The classic striped minidress. You can choose between crossing the Mediterranean sea or the capital city of Mallorca; any reason is perfect to wear this season´s master piece. A-line shaped, knitted and with a small bow at the neck; this garment has been created taking inspiration from the French Riviera and the Italian Coast. The classic navy style makes its appearance together with Brigitte Bardot and Sophia Loren. Its your decision which fashion icon you choose to represent...

Cazadora vaquera / Denim jacket: Massimo Dutti (old)
Vestido de punto marinero / Navy knitted dress: Indiwoman by individual (ss 2012)
Foulard cashemere gris / Gray cashmere scarf: Faliero Sarti (old)

Colgante dorado con la letra "I" / Golden "I" letter pendant: Urban Outfitters (ss 2011)
Bailarinas plateadas / Silver flats: Zara (ss 2012)

NAVY LOOK 2:

Is it navy blue the new black or the other way round?. This dichotomy sets out almost every season, and despite the number of detractors may be bigger than the defenders; never say never. As Spanish film "AzulOscuroCasiNegro" says: Why not combine the most elegant color from the chromatic palette with the most stylish and classic one?. A navy look or boat´s captain one. The perfect outfit to go to work, shopping or have some drinks with your friends. A look to break the non-written rules of fashion (because, what for do rules exist if they aren´t for that? ;)).

Chaqueta de punto de rayas / Striped knitted cardigan: Oysho (ss 2011)
Top de algodón azul marino y negro / Black & navy blue cotton top: Indiwoman by individual (ss 2011)
Pantalones chinos beige / Beige boyfriend trousers: H&M (old)

MY STYLE: HERRINGBONE & BOWS

Hi guys!!. Although most Spanish cities are showing off the brightest sun, San Sebastian doesn´t want to let the freezing winter out. So while waiting to wear my new spring purchases, I still make the most of my winter clothes. MY STYLE: A CREAM KNITTED BALLERINA

Hi guys!! How are you doing this week?. I haven´t got any interesting news, so I´ll let my look speak for itself. This dress was what some may call "love at first sight". I haven´t worn it so many times, ´cause it´s quite "delicate" and gets dirty just with a glance, but even so, I love it!!. It has something special. Don´t you think so?. The bag was a Christmas´ present. I saw a red version at a Spanish fashion magazine, but when I ordered it at the shop, they told me it was just a version they made for the brand´s lookbook and the magazines shoottings. I have to say, I hate when that happens to me!. And they´ve been several times ´til now! I must have a a good eye for that... ;). Nevertheless, hope you like it!!.

MY STYLE: THE THREE WISE MEN SPARKLING NIGHT

Good evening to everybody!!. Did you have a good time these past holidays?. It´s time of getting back into the routine. Although it´s been several days since the night before The Three Wise Men (this sounds a bit odd in English, and I don´t really know whether you celebrate it), I wanted to share with you the look I wore. I´m pretty sure you´ve already seen this sparkling skirt in lots of blogs or girls, but as every person is different and so every style, I´ll show you my particular way of dressing it. I bought it two months ago or so, but I preferred to wait until these special days came. The truth is that I love it (otherwise, I wouldn´t have bought it...), but if I had to find some sort of fault in it, either you are extremely cautious and you decide not to move all night long, or get used to the idea of loosing sequins every minute...

MY STYLE: NEW YEAR´S EVE PARTY LOOK

Happy 2012 to everybody!!!!. Hope you´ve all had some gorgeous days with your family & friends, and that the upcoming ones will hopefully be better too. I´m not very keen on showing my feelings nor opening my heart. Even though they are there, they always end hidden behind some sort of shield that I have built in the course of my life and which protects or believes to protect them from any kind of harm or pain; possible or real, present or future ones. It may be inherited from my German ancestors, or just because me, myself and my circumstances have made me this way. For better or probably worse, ´cause withdrawing into oneself is never good; I am this way and I will continue this way, I will never change (or maybe yes...), (Thanks to the singer Alaska for letting me use this small piece of sentence from her song "Who he cares" :)).  The thing is that I wanted to be grateful to you  with all my heart for your presence at My Little Suede Shoes blog in the course of almost these two years.

THANKS A LOT for all your sweet comments and visits, for your signs of affection, for following my blog, for discovering me yours, for the friendship that is being built with some of you in the course of time and the one that will be created and consolidated with others, for showing me new things and letting me learn with you. Some of you I already have the pleasure to know personally but I´d love to meet someday the others.
