Las navidades ya están a la vuelta de las esquina, y para los que seáis como yo un poco rezagados en lo que a decoración navideña se refiere, os dejo unas cuantas fotitos de inspiración!!. For several years and because of personal reasons, this time means to me sadness, yearning and nostalgia. But this year I´ve decided to change my mind and try to attract rays of light and happiness. MY STYLE: JACQUARD PREPPY LOOK

Hola a todos!!!. ¿Me echabais de menos?. Espero que un poquito sí. :). Este es el primer look fotografiado en mi nueva ciudad Madrileña. Entre visita y visita a mis nuevos amigos Ikea y Zara Home, y tras pasar el puente en mi querida San Sebastián, saqué tiempo para fotografiar mi look Dominguero y dar así por inaugurada una nueva etapa en mi vida. Ahora solo me falta un trabajo en el mundo fashion. ¿No tendréis alguna oferta para mí? jeje!. Bueno, para dar la bienvenida a mi nuevo hogar, decidí estrenar mi última compra pre-navideña: este jersey de jacquard en tonos azules que tanto me recordaba a los que lucían mis padres en su época juvenil. Un momento remember para revivir y recordar...

Hi guys!!. How is everything going?. Hope you´ve missed me a bit... :). This is the first look I´ve photographed at my new Spanish home, Madrid. Between my visits to my new friends Ikea and Zara Home, and after spending the long-weekend in my beloved San Sebastian (a small and amazing city in the Basque Country, Spain), I managed to find time to shoot my latest look and consider so my new life stage inaugurated. Won´t you have by chance any fashion offer for me? hehe!. Nevertheless, to welcome my new home, I decided to wear for the first time this jacquard jumper which reminds me a lot to the ones my parents used to wear when they were young. Times to remember and revive...

FASHION DESIGNER: ULIANA SERGIENKO (PART II)

¡¡Buenos días y feliz puente a tod@s los que hayáis podido pillarlo!!. El resto... ya es viernes!!!!. Tal y como os prometí en el anterior post, os muestro para gusto y deleite vuestro (y mío), el estilo de esta espectacular mujer. Parece una princesa de cuento de hadas en pleno siglo XXI, pero nada todo más lejos de la realidad es una fotógrafa rusa reconvertida en diseñadora (creo que le damos tod@s un aprobado con creces por su primera colección) y style-icon. Tal y como veréis, tiene todo un arte en mezclar prendas de aspecto vintage con accesorios modernos y viceversa. Faldas y vestidos corola, clutches por doquier, flores y lunares, pumps, corsés, broches antiguos, pañuelos y coronas a la cabeza, terciopelo, tejidos ingleses, mohair y cashmere, encajes y gasas... 

Good morning and happy holidays for the lucky ones!! The rest of you... it´s already Friday!!!!. As I told you in my previous post, I wanted to show you the great style of this even greater woman. She seems to be a fairy-tale princess in the middle of the 21st century, but nothing everything further from the truth, she´s a Russian photographer retrained as a fashion designer and style-icon. As you´ll see, she has a flair for mixing vintage-esque garments with modern accessories and vice versa: Corolla skirts and dresses, clutches, flowers and polka-dots, pumps, corsets, antique brooches, headscarfs and crowns, velvet, lace, mohair and cashmere or British fabrics such as tweed, herringbone or hounds-tooth.

FASHION DESIGNER: ULIANA SERGIENKO (PART I)

¡¡Hola a todos!! Tengo una gran noticia: Ya tengo hogarrrrrrr!!!!. ¡¡Y yo que pensaba que este momento no iba a llegar nunca!!. ¡¡No puedo estar más contenta!!. Ahora tocan viajes varios a Ikea, Zara Home y demás coetáneos para conseguir hacer del pisito, MI pisito. Bueno, NUESTRO pisito, que mi novio también cuenta (aunque el gusto decorativo lo pongo yo! jeje!).  Pero poco a poco, que la mudanza y vaciado de cajas ya me han dejado muerta!!. 

Hi guys!!. I´ve got some great news I can´t wait sharing with all of you!!. I finally have my own home!!! I never thought this day could ever come!!. I couldn´t be happier!!. Now is time of going on a trip to Ikea, Zara Home and other contemporaries to try making the apartment, OUR apartment. But gradually, because the move and the packing-unpacking moment have nearly "killed" me.  

Para celebrar este gran momento, os dejo con la espectacular colección debut de la diseñadora e icono estilístico rusa ULIANA SERGIENKO; un nombre que os será difícil de olvidar, no solo por su complejidad gramatical sino porque yo no os voy a dejar! jeje!. En el próximo post de My Little Suede Shoes os mostraré el estilo único y personal de esta gran mujer, que seguro os maravillará tanto como a mi por su singularidad, sofisticación y elegancia. Pero mientras, a lo que íbamos; la colección de Sergienko está compuesta de favorecedoras y esbeltas siluetas, delicados estampados vintage y coquetos gorritos. Solo le pongo una pega, porque la perfección no existe (ni queremos que exista...): esos botines ergonómicos que, queremos creer, se han colado en la sesión fotográfica del lookbook. 

To celebrate this day, I´m going to introduce you to a Russian fashion designer and style icon named ULIANA SERGIENKO; and her debut collection composed by flattering and trim silhouettes, vintage dainty prints and cute headpieces. There´s just one thing I don´t fancy so much about it... those chunky heels. But perfection doesn´t exist and we don´t want to either.
